Hi, someone offers me Freddie`s BPI Award Triple Platinum for Made in Heaven ( posthumously of course). The item looks legit, but I`am still waiting for a more detailed history( pre-owner) by the seller.
The second thing is,,, how on earth did those things come to the market ? Someone gave it to the clean up staff after the ceremony or what ?

Yeah strangely enough posthumous awards are given out in the record industry even for record sale certifications.

Yes, awards are given to the estate of the deceased or the family of the deceased. Freddie I think was given an outstanding contribution to British music award or posthumous lifetime achievement award at the 1992 Brits, as well as Queen winning the single of the year at the Brits then for Rhapsody/Days of our lives.

If the award was presented to Freddie's family, I seriously doubt they would sell it off. How did the seller come by it?
