What is going on on Brian's face in this photo?

It looks like he's wearing some sort of a netting

It looks as if the other three are standing in front of a chicken-wire fence, while Brian is standing behind it....?

This was an idea the band and Mick Rock tried at the photo sessions for Queen II in 1973.

It's funny that I always assumed that this pic was perfect excepting that mark.

I always liked it- he looks like an old Italian widow.

Here you have it without the wire and the photo time marks deleted in the background.

This is something that is confusing me.

This is how Brian appears in Greatest Flix, in the Killer Queen montage at the start.

he's just seen Gerry in the crowd and activated his
"Anti Nuisance Avoiding Lunatic Fenced Up Caging Keepsafe"

I always assumed it was some sort of weird lighting effect. Cool, thanks guys.
