Russian Headlong: Great post and i agree 100% with your comments.
Queen are a big joke and the rock world are sniggering at them for taking on an american idol contestant
with no charisma or style to his voice.
Yes it is your right to be negative if you decide too, freedom of speech, if you lot do not like that then sod you all !
Some Queen fans are purists and will not except second best, that will never be an option for us after such a legend like Freddie!

I used to love this band but have despised the way they have turned into a joke with Lambert upfront and May's increasingly zealot views on Animal rights.
You talk about the band being a joke and prefer a Freddie impersonator...
And, what do Brian's point of view about animals have to do with making/playing music?
Paul McCartney's solo/beatles work is second rate because of PM's points of view on animals?
Queen: Roger Taylor, Mike Grose, Freddie Mercury, Brian May.

He doesn't like Lambert trying to be Freddie (which he is not), so he'd rather have a different singer who tries to be Freddie.....(I'm still trying to figure that one out)

The king of Rhye: Lambert DOES copy from Freddie especially when stands next to May doing those air guitar gestures freddie was well known for!
And he even wears a crown like Freddie wore on stage. Lambert is unoriginal.

^^^^ in the past you've been critical of Lambert for not moving around the stage enough, but now your having a go because he stood next to BM and moved his arm. What next he's doing what Freddie used to, singing into a microphone!

One other point, you said in the Rock world they've become a joke. . . No they haven't. In your mind they have and that's your opinion but there are many old school rock fans who have been to see or are going to see the current tour.

" Why not spend your time on a forum dedicated to a band you can say something positive about? Wouldn't that be time better spent?"

Why don't you go f@k yourself Wizard?. I used to love this band but have despised the way they have turned into a joke with Lambert upfront and May's increasingly zealot views on Animal rights. I reserve the right to make negative comments when I don't like something my favourite band, it would be nice to see them playing music with someone else like Paul Rodgers or Marc Martel. Some of us are not happy
to suck up all the output of the band like you clearly
do Wizard!
Telling people to go f@k themselves because they have a different opinion to you is childish, as is attacking someones passion for something outside of where you think they belong.

There are thousands of people around the world who believe this tour is the best Queen tour since the 80's. Me included.

Vocal Harmony: you should try reading letters on the "Classic Rock" forum and lots of heavy rock dudes say Lambert sucks!
Get real, Lambert is wearing a crown, not copying of freddie? yes he is.
Strutting around Brian like freddie use to do? oh yes he does.
He just looks so so lost on that stage, that he pretends to be freddie in so many many ways.

Gerry.........did you ever think maybe Adam wearing the crown was meant as an affectionate tribute? To the man who (as Adam says in every show) if it werent for him, Adam wouldnt be there........

And theres probably a million singers that make air-guitar gestures and strut around the guitar player.......heck, Paul used to wave around the mic stand like Freddie, what did you think of that?

For some crazy reason, I'm more focused on how he sounds singing with Queen........

I analyse Lambert very carefully, and sure Paul Rodgers has his own style with his full mic stand,
Lambert likes to get very close to May and pose like Freddie used to do.
But yeah i too study how Lambert the Queen back catalogue, and that new years eve bash tomorrow night
will have some bum notes from Lambert, and certain classic Queen numbers ruined.
I think Queen were too very special to have another singer and replacing Freddie was a massive mistake,
They should have looked back at bands who had the right idea of not inventing themselves again, like Abba, Beatles, etc........
Queen were a completely one of group which could not be replaced, but now they are piss poor without freddie.

ABBA just dont want to perform anymore, all their members are alive, Queen have a dead member and a retired member, so Abba's example doesnt apply. Beatles disbanded years before Lennon's death, by the time Lennon died there was no Beatles, so they are not a good example either.

Perhaps the closer example would be AC/DC or Zepp... But AC/DC simply got another singer and almost forgot Bon Scott.

Led Zeppelin were to replace Bonham with Cozy Powell (at least according to a Cozy interview I read years ago in Kerrang!) but there was some kind of disagreement between Page, Jones and Plant and they disbanded.
Queen: Roger Taylor, Mike Grose, Freddie Mercury, Brian May.

The Lambert fronted UK tour has sold more than 160,000 tickets, it's the biggest selling UK arena tour Queen have ever done, and it's more than the UK hot space tour sold.

Add the European dates and it's close to 320,000. How many anti Lamber posts have you read on the classic rock forum 1? 2? 25? 50? 500? Do you get the bigger picture yet?
