In this interview Brian sais on the "gay thing" in regards with music :

"I find my mind wandering down those paths as well, because so many of the greatest musicians have been gay.
I wonder if there is a special kind of magic that appeals to girls as much or even more than boys.
There’s a kind of mystery there."

Does anyone get what actually the second sentence mean?
He is talking about sexuality and talent and then shifts to gender and music appreciation ?
I don't get it.

PS. Also who are those great musicians who were gay?
Apart from Tchaikovsky i don't recall anyone else.

Sigh.

You could argue not everyone there is great though.

What I think Brian is trying to say is that gay musicians still hold massive appeal for girls, women in spite of being gay. I mean look at how many females (including me!) adore Freddie. And the same seems to be the case with Adam Lambert. So probably what Brian means is that there is some mystique about gay singers that attracts both sexes...?

The answer is no there isn't. It's a daft comment from Brian which also infers that Brian believes only males could normally be expected to like female musicians, and vice versa.

Stupid question, but why is Freddie not on the list?

I was thinking the same thing.

It's not difficult to think of gay musicians. Vladimir Horowitz once said 'there are only three types of pianist - Jewish pianists, Russian pianists and bad pianists!'

He was also the one who coined the phrase 'My face is my passport', and said 'The piano is like an orchestra with 88.... things'

Well, some claim Freddie is bisexual. Maybe that's why he's not listed.

Oh, and steinway: I tried really hard to understand your post, yet it made absolutely no sense to me. They usually do, so maybe you can elaborate?

Probably because he's here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Bisexual_musicians

Gets a bit difficult categorizing people this way, which the alert at the top of the Wiki page does acknowledge.

Here comes Holly with the usual bullshit towards Brian. If you were a man, i would ask you if Brian fucked your girlfriend. But you´re a women, so i don´t really know where your hate for Brian comes from.

Next time, read the full interview, and don´t put meanings to Brian´s words that aren´t there in the first place.

Here's another idea: stop whining like a little Stepford baby :)

I was trying to correct some things on my previous post and ended up quoting myself.

Perhaps you were trying to think of some more sexually aggressive language to use against me, a mere slip of a girl ...

Ah, and now you presume Holly can't fancy girls. You're no better than Brian!
