That is interesting.........the general verdict seems to be that Queen wasnt really that good live in that time period...(70-71).......maybe John was the final piece to the puzzle :D

And I never heard of Build Your Own Boat as a possible name for the band! I think they made the right choice by not going with that one.......lol

I now have this book on request at my local library, sounds like an interesting read......

Thoroughly researched. Great stuff. Lots of new tidbits.

‘So there was Freddie Mercury, a shop assistant, giving pop star David Bowie a pair of boots he couldn’t afford to buy.’

Hilarious.

Years later, on September the eleventh no less, Freddie and David would be mixing one of the most important singles of the decade while Bon Jovi was a few yards away from them, probably mopping the floor or unclogging the toilet.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

ha! - ken Testi's sister sitting on Freddie's knee learning to play noughts and crosses! - bet she's still drinking out on that one.
