I was at Newcastle then this show. Newcastle was great especially when TYMD almost became an instrumental as AL took a lifetime to return to the stage, but glasgow seemed more together. I agree with the comments the guitar solo was special and I knew it....! Few guitar mistake on bo rap and DSMN... And RT was much better on backing vox.. another great night at the front row..

Went to the gig, but landed a bad seat unfortunately. Not where I expected when submitting my order. Anyway, I really don't understand the admiration for the setlist. Save me was fabulous, but I hated One Vision as an opener as the whole thing immediately felt like Wembley revisited. I didn't like their stupid costumes either. I'm pretty sure that had Freddie been around, they would have chucked all that glam a long time ago. It just seems retarded and well past its time. The US setlist was much better. Liked the drum battle and Days of Our Lives too. Hated the rain on the way back. It was a major flaw ;-)

I had the very same feeling when I've heard One Vision during the stream of the first night of the tour. I mean, it's a good opener but it definitely feels like hearing the Wembley gig and you know Freddie comes to mind and you expect to hear his voice.... It doesn't fit so well Adam's voice but it's a decent performance. One thing which really annoys me is the way he sings "just give me" near the end. I also cannot understand why there are some minor lyrics changed in the last line.
I wonder who is designing costumes this time. Do they still work with Zhandra Rhodes ???

I don't know MercurialFreddie, but Dr May wearing some green flashy robes made me cringe. His astrophysics talk didn't go down well with the crowd either with people looking at each other and wondering what the hell was he going on about. Sorry for these criticisms, because I really do appreciate they are still touring and AL is a likeable guy indeed. It's just a shame they play it so safe in terms of repertoire.

Have to agree with you there, the talking from Brian before LOML & '39 is way too much, between the homage to Fred before LOML and the tech talk before '39 it turns the two songs into a near 15 minute borefest. Both songs naturally slow the pace of the show but the chatter from Bri on top of that make for possibly the only low point of the show.

Yes - and yet the acoustic slot at the Hammersmith shows in 2012 was the highlight, because Brian threw in some audibles.
