I was listening to Back to the Light, and wondered why the "bonus" version of Driven by You was so much better than the album version.

Turns out that Neil Murray and Cozy Powell performed on the "new" version.

Unfortunately, no lessons were learned, and The Cosmos Rocks was recorded without a real bassist (like Neil Murray) ...

I think it's fair enough to say that they don't want session musicians playing on "Queen" albums. It's not like they've ever done it before....

Bonus version? Is that available somewhere on the internet?

When you say Bonus Version, do you mean the '92 Retake with Cozy Powell and Neil Murray? This was originally on the Too much love will kill you Single.

I thought I read somewhere that this Version was meant to be on the Album, but by accident the old Version was used...but I cannot find this source anymore.

It's also known as the radio mix.

I like the album version better actually. Think the poppy sound suits the song.

Thanks for the link Viper, I've never been able to find this version.

The Canadian / US version of Back to the Light has the Cozy/Neil "Retake" (from the Too Much Love CD single) as a bonus track after Rolling Over

I always liked the "Special Version for DJs Under Extreme Stress".....now THAT'S an edit! :D

I do hope if there's ever a Queen+Adam studio album, they have an actual band on it (but I wouldnt count on it!).........just have Spike, Neil, and Rufus play on it....
I'll take you to the Seven Seas of Rhye

I would love to see Michael Anthony (ex Van Halen, now Chickenfood) doing the Bass for Queen +. Great Guy, kicking ass on stage amazing backing vocalist.
But this is just fantasy...

What I miss about Queen+ is the feeling to see a BAND. It's just Roger, Brian + Vocalist with a backing band.
This has been a downer at the Q+PR Tours to me (saw them on both tours). I still have to decide if I see them, when they come to my City in 3 weeks (still 50 % of the Tickets available).
