It also removes some of the picture and the end result is not all that pleasing. That's why I didn't do it. In motion it looks better as it is. As for the green flicker on top, it needs manual approach I think, but I don't have time for that now. .

Did you use DeScratch? I think I experimented with that one and the results looked pretty similar to your picture (a great loss of detail) so I also let it be. It looks the negative needs to be physically cleaned and re-scanned
