Made In Heaven lyric

Just a random something that's been bugging my slightly. The first and second verse both have an "it was really meant to be" in their lyrics, but it doesn't sound like that's the lyric at all the second time around:

It sounds more like an improvised line, it resembles more like "in the night than meant to be" than "it was really meant to be". Anyone else noticed this or have an idea what's really being said?

In the MIH version (only one I have by side at the moment) that's where I hear it

2:11 in the first link, you hear what I said sounds like "in the night than meant to be" when the lyric screen says "it was really meant to be". Doesn't sound like "never meant to be" either to me.
