Don't know if I'm happy or sad about it. I really want to see them, but at the same time, really DON'T like the Rock in Rio festival style of being. Lots of bands, people, blah blah. I'd like to just go to Sao Paulo, watch them on Morumbi (as my father did at 81, both shows) and come back home.
30 years later!
(Should I have posted this on Q+A place? I don't know. Sorry)

^ Y o u can do whatever y o u want...
In my opinion they can do whatever they like...
AL+ Queen isn`t the real deal for me, but it isn`t that bad that i have to dismiss the whole idea of touring.
And the South American fans deserve at least a couple of gigs.
If you wanna watch it - do it - it`s a one time only I guess.

One would assume that this will be one of many on your continent. I'm happy that the faithful will get the chance to see Brian and Roger+. You'll enjoy the show.
google translation of the web announcement:
The Queen made history at Rock in Rio is not news to anyone: headliner since the first edition of the festival in 1985, the British group made two unforgettable shows in Rock City.
Now, in the 30 years of the festival, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, founding members of the band, bring all the glory of one of the greatest groups of all time to write another page of history. To come back in style, rely on the strengthening of Adam Lambert. You may even already know, but it never hurts to say: Adam is a giant on stage. Actor, composer and singer, he "only" sold 200,000 copies of their debut album in a single week. The second was straight to the top of the Billboard 200 best sellers.
The supergroup has been acclaimed wherever he goes. Now it's our turn! Queen + Adam Lambert on the first day of the Rock in Rio Brazil 2015 on 18 September. Will lose?
Besides them, the line-up of the festival also features the return of A-ha, John Legend, Katy Perry, another weight team. And that's just the beginning.
Do not forget: ticket sales takes place in April.

I just hope they're not thinking of releasing the gig with the 1985 Rio stuff.

If don't know if I will have the money to go to Buenos Aires to see the concert, don't hope I'll go to Brazil.
But I can imagine our conversation, at least. It's attached (shouldn't read anybody excepting Bruno. You don't want to read all that bullshit.)

Hi there,
I saw Queen in Sydney in 1976 (my first rock concert), London x 3 in 1984, Sydney x 2 in 1985, When I went to see them with my kids (which was their first rock show) last year with AL I loved every minute of it and so di they. Let's be realistic, Freddie died in 1991, John retired in 1997. This is not about Queen the 'band', it's about their music and the joy, energy, complexity, simplicity, silliness, funk, bop, pop, fun and a myriad of other things that we all obviously connect with in various ways. In many ways, my opinion is obviously no more than that, but, South American fans, just go and enjoy the ride. Brian and Roger obviously are having a ball. You will have fun, will sing till your larynx turns to pulp and you'll move your ass in ways that Miley Cyrus would be jealous of. Not a bad experience when you are 54! So, FUN IT!

This was a nice conversation, Beta. LOL
By the way, I'd be WAAAY more interest to go to Buenos Aires and see them there, than in Rio. But as they didn't confirmed nothing 'til this moment, I'm giving my money to Rock in Rio. :P
They'll start selling the tickets in April, so we have 1 month for another gigs confirmation. Sao Paulo, please. But it's good. I'm gonna see Brian, gonna see Roger and Fred- Oh, fuck.

OGRE, WHERE ARE YOU?! O_O

Why are people mentioning Buenos Aires if the show is in Rio?
Am I missing something? Or have more dates been announced?
brunogorski · Member since
Wizard, no no no! You didn't missed a single thing. We are just supposing they'll be at Buenos Aires eventually, since it happened at 81, 2008... But at the same time, it didn't happened at 85, when they came to Rock in Rio. But that's all. Beta is from (south of?) Argentina, and Ale Solan too (guess there are other guys), and if Q+A don't go to Argentina, a solution would be this guys come to Rio. :P
At the same time, if they announce a gig on Buenos Aires, I'd be happy to go and watch, because I don't really like Rio de Janeiro. Violence, weirdo people (don't crucify me!), etc etc. And the date of this gig, September 18, isn't a great deal to me either. I'll be photographing a race at 19, and other at 20. So, it would be freaking hard to travel to Rio (driving), watch the show, get my car and go back to Sao Paulo, work on a race and get back to my place and photograph other event. Argh!

(I'm 500km of distance from Rio, but would prefer drive 2000km and go to Argentina. I really don't like Rio. :P)
