And sending confirmation emails to activate the account. Like, when you join in, the system sends a link to the email used, and the person needs to click that link to activate the account.

Thanks for noticing, winterspelt :) I also act here: I delete spam twice a day. It can't be too hard to just ignore the crap. Just do not reply because when users reply I have to delete the replies, as well.
