I also have this labelled as 1977-01-18 - Detroit, along with interviews with JD, RT and BM.
Anyone have pics of the discs?

I haven't listened to the discs in years. The Brian one is labeled as 1979, and the Roger one as 1980.
Is this true, or are they all from 1977?

Nope, just burned copies.
One day I'll listen through them, and I'm sure the date will become pretty apparent based on what they're talking about.

I have a MP3 (god knows where I obtained it, I don't) with an interview called "The Unauthorized Edition". It's 1:16:00 long, comes from an "Interview Disc" and only features Freddie. It's in MP3, so it's size is 86 MB.
Somebody interested here?

The OP's FM interview seems to be from this 4 disc unofficial UK release "The Interview Collection" (Baktabak – CBAK 4957) released in 1992.

Here are the liner notes that appear on the back cover of each individual CD and the Box. You can add this text to your files. Written by Jim Kozlowski:
"Queen
THE INTERVIEW COLLECTION
... it seemed an interesting idea to try and get inside the individual minds that made up the entity known as Queen. The way this would be accomplished would be to do a series of four interviews, one with each band member rather than a group interview. We wanted to see if a series of questions asked of each band member pertaining to the band´s philosophy and approach to both music and the music industry would garner similar answers.
Fortunately, the interviewer here was someone whom the band had known for three years and, as a result, both band and record company were enthusiastic about the idea and eager to "see if we´ll pass the test" as Freddie Mercury put it. And so the interviews were recorded on a cold January afternoon in 1977 in Detroit. Each interview lasted around 40 minutes and covered a wide variety of topics, more in the nature of a conversation than a question and answer session.
How did they do? That was the question each band member asked the interviewer in the dressing room after the show that night. The interviewer gave them the same answer that night as he now gives you - listen to the recordings and hear for yourself. It´s a different look at one of the most popular bands in the world.

I hope this helps. I haven´t listen to the interviews for a long time either :-)
