I seem to remember Jim gave it to him later on, but I might be wrong. I'm pretty sure Jim mentioned it in his book.

I've just read Phoebes book so far. No mention of the ring there.
Its just a footnote but quite an interesting one ??

Just like I`ve said, Winfried was Freddie`s Munich Lover - not his ONLY Lover. It is well reported by locals that they had huge fightings in their relationship - non verbal - because W.K. doesn`t speak a word of English :)

I just browsed through Mercury and Me. Jim gave Freddie a ring for his 40th birthday in September 1986. It's also mentioned that to find out his ring size Jim tried on an old ring that Winnie had given Freddie. Maybe that's the one Freddie can be seen wearing before Jim's ring. Jim also said that Freddie always wore the ring he gave him around the house, but usually slipped it off when leaving the house.
