Speaking of a "new Freddie Mercury"............

Well, actually there will never be another.

However, I just watched Marc M's latest, and its really spooky how much he reminds me of the real deal.

Really? Overall he doesn't sound too similar too me, there's less weight and chest into the notes IMO. But there are indeed a few phrases where he gets close to that certain tone and resonance Freddie possessed.

Marc Martel has a great voice which bears a lot of resemblance to Freddie, but unfortunately he doesn't strike me as someone who possesses a certain star quality. He wouldn't be fit for Queen, but I wish him luck in his career.

I think he's just a pretty damn good singer whose tone sometimes resembles Freddie's (in this song he resembles him most when he sings the "we are"), and who does really good covers which do justice to Queen's songs. His best cover, in which he resembles Freddie most, is of course Bo Rhap.

As you yourself said, there's no such thing as the next FM - even if his voice was just like Freddie's (which it clearly isn't), he still wouldn't be Freddie - Freddie had the whole package, a package which by its very nature exists and dies with the person.

Yep - there's not just the voice but the songwriting, writing in certain keys which Brian has commented on where Freddie picked different chords for more variety in their sound, stage presence, connection with the audience, ideas about videos and how to present their work visually on stage and for their videos, etc.

Like I said there is only ONE FM, but Marc does have something you will never have, and that is talent.

You dont even realize what talent i have ,i have equal talent as Mercury had ,i sing great ,i will be no a star ,i will be LEGEND !!!!
