Bow?

Silly. .. That's a guitar.

It's a nice finish. But I think an all over paint job would be even better. Even with omissions and a run over on the pickguard.

Brian's guitar certainly is a very lovely body in virtually any style.

I suppose you COULD make it ugly with a flat paint light brown body and a pink pickguard... similar 80's flat loud colors... But it's cool as is.

I love my current guitars. They're wonderful to me. I missed the brief PRE COLLECTOR'S stage "MINI-MAY" guitars run, so i think I'm pretty much done with dream guitars unless I make one myself.

Here are two of my favorites.

They get dings every now and then... paint cracks or something. ... But I love em.

Parker MaxxFly Signature Series DF824VRHX Vernon Reid, USA,

^ I LOVE the paint and BODY of this guitar, But the head stick looks like a nightmare. Particularly for tension distribution.

After watching a Simpson's episode. .. I think a KRUSTY the clown guitar would be pretty cool (as long as it wasn't incredibly uncomfortable to play)

Bow? I thought it was called an Axe ;)
Yes, I am at work right now.

I have the Brian May antique cherry, by the way. It's my first electric guitar, and I really like it. Is the guitar good compared with other guitars?

I play a cheap but very decent Dean. The body and neck are really nice, but the pick ups weren't, so I replaced them with Wilkinson PAFs, which are pretty close to the original '56-'62 humbucker. I mostly play folk rock and jazz-fusion, but it's a really nice all-round guitar.

I like many kinds of guitars, all with their own characteristics, but what is by far the most important to me is how the neck and fretboard feel and how good the frets are - a neck that's too thick or too thin, or a fretboard that's just the wrong shape can be a real pain, and a fretboard and neck that complement the anatomy of your hand are a seriously great pleasure. If money weren't an issue, then I guess the guitar I'd most want to have was a really good Gibson ES-335 (hollow-body) or similar model.

Anybody ever see one of those ridiculous Uli Roth guitars in person?

I never have. I just find it incredible that someone would market a $14-$15K GUITAR that isn't made of Leprechaun Bone. .. or UNICORN ivory.

Thankfully the BM guitars are affordable.

Imagine someone DID make an ugly guitar with a bow on front. (Flanking top and bottom. Maybe pitched differently TOP being open MAJOR "natural" bottom being "flat/enharmonic")

The strings would pivot at 45 degree angles but they'd hit all the keys of the middle register. Unlike old scored guitars that had open strings for droning bass notes.

It would probably be hazardous to the integrity of the head stock but who knows.

Maybe a person with three arms would have ease of use with it.

Maybe, but in competent hands, it sounds AWESOME! Seriously, it can be a one-man orchestra.
