But you undoubtedly have a narcissistic, belligerent way of forcing your opinions on folk and come across as very rude.
Mr. mooghead has enriched many a forum on QZ and helps to makes it the interesting place it is, his little snap at anthony venus was no more than a throw-away moment in time and no one should go slashing their wrists over it.
.........and you need to chill a little.
I am sorry it came across like that because that's not really how I am, at least most of the time anyway. But let's just leave it.
leave "Moog" alone - he's our care in the community project :-)...every community should have its grumpy old man
and actually - he does (kinda) make a very good point - you start off by listing your "top 50 queen songs" ...you basically picked approx 1 in 3 of every queen track recorded.
then, not wanting to lessen the significance of your "essential 50" - you go and add "Ride the Wild Wind" somewhere "between 20 - and 30"
firstly, you gotta be kidding that it even made your 50, secondly, you can't even nail it down to a specific place in the 50 - crucial stuff eh?
the difference is between "songs" and "tracks" - there may well be 570 "tracks" as there's more than one version of some queen songs...but the thread title is
Top 50 Queen Songs
the OP selected his top 50 songs
and when you equate this over the Queen catalogue it's almost 1 selection in every 3 songs
Queen has over 200 different songs (including B sides, extra tracks and "rarities", but excluding Cosmos Rocks and solo stuff). A rating of the top 25% of Queen songs seems reasonable to me, and I fail to see why quibbling and nitpicking with this new poster is justified.
Crap... my opinions change... Father To Son is way too low! Embarrasing list, I'm still quite a rookie, you see... Oh but, a worse situation... NO NEVERMORE OR DOING ALL RIGHT!
