I would say more maybe '82 in Munich and as for what he's holding and why, crystal skulls I guess have some kinda meaning.
I see pine trees and possibly water in the background - maybe Montreux?
in his hands has somethings that seems "madballs" that come out in mid '80; so this pic could be from The Miracle session in Montreux. even the dress worn (his style) suggests to me that time.
The suit he has on reminds me of the one worn on his visit to the guild factory. So perhaps during the same period?? I'm trying to dig out a clipping about his visit to guild
