From YES' facebook site:

It’s with the heaviest of hearts and unbearable sadness that we must inform you of the passing of our dear friend and Yes co-founder, Chris Squire. Chris peacefully passed away last night in Phoenix Arizona. We will have more information for you soon.

Rest in Peace, Chris...

That really sucks. He was the heart and soul of Yes. RIP

What a shame. Commiserations to his loved ones.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

I'm absolutely gutted.

I'm a guitar player and will be devastated the day Steve Howe dies (he has been a massive influence on me as a musician), but this is probably worse. It is with the death of Chris Squire that we have reached the end of an era - the classic lineup of Yes will never play together again. 2004 was the swan song.

^ And You And I from MSG 2004. They could barely finish the song because the audience's reaction. What a wonderful moment in music. I saw them a couple months after this - one of the last Yes shows with the classic lineup.
