Fedor is a Russian name. These could be the reels of the cinema version shown in the USSR in the late 80's.

That's most likely the 35mm reel of the version that was edited for cinema releases way back when.
Well, unless Fedor uploads the missing bits (AOBTD, the two cover songs, the rest of TYMD and CLTCL), I'm also assuming that this is the reel used for the original cinema releases.

By the way, I think it's very fascinating to see that concert straight from the 35mm film. How did he get that?
It's pretty common that people have 35mm prints, mostly former projectionists and their friends / family members.
or anyone who bought from these people in the last 20 years ... there is a huge collectors market for used cinema reels . this owner is probably from russia, as the film was distributed there at that time as well as in the eastern block minus china

Very interesting! Was the the russian cinema release in the 80´s the complete gig or the well known cut version? The question is that someone able to transfer these tapes on harddisc and lay hands on that files... remastered sound and picture? Maybe this is the only chance as a "fan project" to get the complete real version of Budapest ´86. So there must be 9 parts of these tapes on eBay I guess?!

Nothing new there, same angles as HR etc. Same old cinematic release and he only has three parts, nice if you like to collect film.

He's a cheeky fucker selling only three parts in separate listings, I hate when greedy fuckers do that..
Arse.

Sadly, it looks like this is the theatrical cut. As it stands, It's probably collector's item for a film enthusiast.

No, it's the same cut. However, my memory fails me sometimes and it could be even shorter than the original cut. I have this USSR version somewhere.

As far as i remember, Russian version was the same to what we've seen for years now, but ommited ITTWWC. Also notable, quality was lower and it played semitone higher (like every version exept for HR). I have it transferred to DVD.

Also, i checked EBay links provided here. It has the same name (Magic of Queen in Budapest), that was used in USSR cinemas. So there is no new footage, i believe.
