Recently, someone posted on rutracker vinyl rip of A Day At The Races released in 1999 on 180gm heavy vinyl in the Millenium Vinyl Collection.

I'm curious Is this pressing really better (sound-wise) than the first pressing. Did they really used analogue master tapes ? It seems strange that in 1999 they used analogue source, not digital remaster....

What's more the series didn't pop up here on forum when we were discussing the best sounding pressings / series. I wonder if they released another Queen album in the series.

I have the ANATO pressing from the EMI 100 editions but have never played it. Sadly at the moment my record deck is not in good enough shape to risk testing it - I hope to get a new deck soon though.

In my opinion the EMI's Millennium Edition is a very interesting collection , i don't have any of thouse vinyls so i can't test them and never listened to them but some time ago I was looking for "The Specials" album from that collection and it was written it is cut from the analogue tapes.

Don't tempt me! It's either buy a new sound system for my car or the REGA....but I can't justify the cash for both!!
