You can make changes to songs, remove songs or change albums and basically do whatever you want, what changes do you make?
Note: I changed the topic. The original thing was embarrassing.

No wonder my post doesn't match the content.

Uhhhmm... well. . If I had access I'd need at least a few months to pore over tracks until I find things worth putting together as an initial 4disc set (depending on the amount of material available) for the first 8-10 years. Then process another decade and release another in a few months shortly after releasing a restored Queen FLIX set finally including promo stuff (even the QPR commercial) and FINALLY including the INNUENDO films.

I'd try to see if the MIH films could be cleared as well. Otherwise forget em.

But while I was going through tracks tracking sets I'd release an initial compilation: THE DEACON YEARS

1) misfire
2) You're my best friend
3) You and I
4) Spread your wings
5) who needs you
6) if you can't beat them
7) in only seven days
8) another one bites the dust
9) cool cat
10) back chat
11) I want to break free
12) Pain is so close to pleasure
13) one year of love
14) ah. .. you get the point. . The rest of the tracks would have no listing but they'd be John Deacon tracks

The back page of the disc would be hand numbered 1-3500

It'd be Queen's greatest collectible

I'd employ a couple of archivists to go through all the session tapes. I'd estimate the job would take 6 months max.

And probably look into getting a failed comedian to head up different archival projects based on his not amazing performance on Mastermind.

I would find an interesting soundbite from a master tape that Queen fans would like then release it one second at a time once a week just to see the heads of Queen fans explode around the world.

SOOO not true.. They'd CRITICIZE every initial second... It wouldn't upset them with a head implosion it would upset them with boredom.

It might even recharge some of their sex-lives

I fail to see how this tactic would hurt the fan base.

Well.... I SAID i'd review everything....

There's truly no indication that anybody in the public KNOWS what's actually available there in those archives.

Fans might adore a bit of studio chatter that took place before a certain take of a certain song, but that take might not line up with the final take or even match the genesis of the song.... It just happens....

THings would have to be reviewed.

I'm just joking about the John Deacon compilation.... But that WOULD BE hilarious.

be honest now... It's actually an INTERESTING compilation.

props to Mr. Deacon.

anyways, A thorough going through would take some FINANCED MONTHS in the studio (more expenditures) to review everything and would likely only be a decision sought out by remaining band members.

..true. they could receive all the work via COURRIER.... but who knows...

I don't anticipate any real incredible releases any time soon.

The artists are in their LATE 60's...... they are probably insecure enough to think that their shit doesn't matter.

It's a strange condition.

I wish it were handled well when the iron was hot (Wayne's World)

Lacking a viable COMMODITY (more financial talk coming out) in the general public realm, don't expect ANYTHING unless this PROPOSED BIOGRAPHICAL ACCOUNT is produced.

*(AND IS A HIT!!)

otherwise, you're just waiting until an estate settlement when one or two or three of them passes.

They clearly don't see it as a viable decision and are completely unwilling to shed light on their studio processes. Maybe they think it's all crap.

Check out The Doors recent remasters. They weren't afraid to put out false starts and studio jams, early working version etc. Sure, not to everyone's taste and far from standing up to repeated listening, but they still did it.

Likewise the forthcoming Bowie box - we've had the material over and over again, but compiling bsides and single mixes onto a couple of discs would surely work for Queen too. Nicely tidying up the loose ends Past Masters style (if we're continuing the Beatles reference)

Now the 2 disc sets from 2011 are thin on the ground it's time to address this.

Regarding albums, I'd do the vinyl and CD box set, but i'll commission someone else to remaster the albums. I'd choose C_Matt for that job. Like on the 2011 deluxe editions, there will be a companion disc dedicated for outtakes, studio jams, and some of the unreleased songs, kinda like the companion discs of the Led Zeppelin remasters/Beatles Anthology CDs.

If possible, I'd hold an intensive search for the missing Budapest films and restore it. If it went according to plan, there'd be a re-release of Hungarian Rhapsody for DVD/BD, showing the concert in in its entirety. I could add the 16 cameras version as a bonus for the hell of it.

I always felt that "Fight From the Inside" didn't quite fit in on NOTW, so I'd put it on Jazz instead. Maybe I'd replace it by "Leaving Home Ain't Easy", I could see it on NOTW's side 2.

On The Game, I'd replace "Don't Try Suicide" by "A Human Body". Maybe I'd switch AOBTD and Hot Space's "Calling All Girls". Speaking of Hot Space, I might as well replace "Cool Cat" by "Soul Brother". Not the best Queen song ever but still better than "Cool Cat" IMO...

And on The Works, I'd replace "Tear It Up" by "I Go Crazy".
