No I am not stoned, if there is a 4LP set Live at the Rainbow, why not of this concert?[/QUOTE]

For christ's sake, there will no be a 4 LP release on this. Period.

Unless Queen went "SURPRISE!"and released the Japan concert, a 4 LP release is out of the question. If there is, that info would have been leaked as well, unless QPL are good at hiding info, but that's just me.

The impression I got from my source was that the CD is more extensive than the DVD. I guess we'll find out by the end of the week after the tour is over tomorrow.

Makes sense as SSOR/SWATIB weren't filmed.

Will be interesting to see what shape the audio of the Japanese tracks is in. Not great I imagine.

SSOR and SWAFIB were filmed actually (by a single standing camera remained turned on). Rumors say it's in Japan and the video has very poor quality.

If it was filmed by one of the BBC cameras I don't know how it would be "very poor" quality - they were the broadcast quality cameras used to record the rest of the gig. I suppose one reason it may now be in "very poor" quality is if the remaining copy in Japan is several generations removed from the original. However, if it had been copied several times over the years I woulld expect it to have surfaced in collector's circles at some point, which I don't believe it has?

As per Biggus Dickus, a source for the apparently factual statement that these two tracks were filmed, and also the source of the rumour that the footage is residing in Japan, would be much appreciated......thanks.

An old version of queenconcerts.com . Mr.Scully has since said it's not true and removed the info. Various sources claimed the BBC crew left after the medley because the BBC union (fill in the correct name) wouldn't allow them to film more after the live TV broadcast has ended. On the full radio broadcast Brian says before SSOR something like "I think we're on our own now". Queen were searching for the rumoured footage in 2009 but never found it.
