The telephone voice on Dancer was recorded by Brian in his hotel room.

(can we include the film samples on AKOM and FG?)
Oh, and Shove It. Was a list ever compiled about exactly what we're hearing on that?

I always thought they got the "baby crying" noise by Roger smacking Rufus' backside in the studio one day.
.
I was about to write the same thing. The original poster debunked one of the myths, that the baby crying was Roger´s son. Ahh, queen fans! We´ve got to love their creativity at storytelling :-)
But one of Roger´s sons was used in "Touch the sky", on his record "Hapiness?"- the kid laughing in the beginning of the song:

No Roger's sons. It's Roger's voice.
.
There are two voices in the beginning - i think it´s pretty obvious. One is Roger´s the other one is one of his sons. I´m pretty sure i´ve read/heard this from Roger himself. For a moment i thought it was credit on the CD "Hapiness?", but i couldn´t find it, so i tried to go to Roger´s official site - but that site is a mess. I just can´t deal with it. So, even though i´m sure it´s Roger´s son, i don´t have a source to present.

And the samples from Brian May and Roger Taylor were used on Paul Rodgers ' album THE COSMOS ROCKS. ...
It's nothing new.

John Fahey has some fantastic albums by the way! Normally very sparse sounding and usually without samples

I don´t know how many more samples Queen used in their records, but from memory:
- Roger´s IILWMC was his own car at the end. I hope i´m not mistaken this story by Van Halen´s Panama where Eddie recorded his Lamborghini for the middle section;
- Brian May´s "Death on Time". The storm sounds in the end of the song were recorded by Brian;
At this time these are the two other samples - homemade samples in this cases- that i can remember.

Well Queen and Paul Rodgers used this news clip as a sample for the intro on "Surf's Up...School's Out!"

...although as it later turned out, without proper permission!

there is one laughter that it ain't Roger's but neither one of his kids
on the record is credited as "(thanks to) Louise and her laughter"

I remember that! And it made me feel uncomfortable that they did use it without permission. Very unprofessional!

That's ANOTHER life-long belief destroyed.
Next you'll be telling me that Father Christmas doesn't exist (He DOES. I sit on his knee EVERY year)
Nope, I wouldn't dream of such a thing.
I hope he gets you that hour with the Swedish masseuse at the rub&tug you've been hoping for.

If you guys listen at the end of Mother Love's video from the Made in Heaven - The Films release, you'll hear that the "director" of the video used a completer baby crying sample, there's an extra "whaaah" which is not present on the original song from MIH
