It sounds to me like they might have experimented with a sped up Freddie doing the high 'Galileo' bit before Roger recorded it, its during a 'quiet' moment on the track (probably headphone audio) so turn it up, but it sounds funny. Yes, I am bored.

About 3 minutes 24 in.

He might've actually sung it. Fred could also hit really high notes, he only sounded way weaker than Roger in that range.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

I guess, but it sounds a bit 'non human' to me, may be a guide track thing but artificial all the same..

Haha good find. Yeah as you say sounds like leak from the headphones of a guide 'idea' onto the vocal mic.

May have been John.

Probably was John. That was when they said 'no'.

When I'm bored I usually drink beer and look at pics of naked women, so kudos for using your bored time wisely, moog.

I was doing that at the same time. My screen is a mess.....

Here it is. It's a real Fred singing in that tone.  If you slow it down, it sounds very artificial.
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

It sounds more like Roy Thomas Baker.

Sounds unaltered to me. But yeah, he doesn't have Roger's extreme confidence in that range. Their huge choirs wouldn't have sounded half as good without Roger's amazing falsetto.

The sound clip up there isn't the one we're taking about BTW
