I didn't know it was that time yet.
But a curio. Either it's the morning after or better perception, but Fred looks a bit worse for wear there although he looks alright (*just draw a moustache on him and argue with me if you will) ....
Hardly the white masking makeup that hid his proper complexion. I just see weariness on his brow. Handsome son of a gun though still.

I've still met people in their fifties who swear they didn't know Freddie was gay at the time. One told me about how he'd been a "coca-cola" dealer in the 70's and his muscle bound pal was hit on at the forum in Inglewood. Fred apparently threw a silky scarf/wrapping at his friend during the concert and he STILL didn't believe he was "queer".

Sitting here with a bottle of red, hence feeling a little melancholic, God bless you Fred, you were the greatest. What did Elizabeth Taylor say,that night at Wembley about Freddie being like a comet?. Very apt.

Peter Freestone's book titles that pic to be from autumn 1981. That's obviously a mistake as at that time Freddie didn't live in Garden Lodge and he didn't have those cats. I've wondered if the caption was meant to say autumn 1991. With that said, Freddie doesn't look that bad in it.

Peter Freestone's book titles that pic to be from autumn 1981. That's obviously a mistake as at that time Freddie didn't live in Garden Lodge and he didn't have those cats. I've wondered if the caption was meant to say autumn 1991. With that said, Freddie doesn't look that bad in it.

do we know when this was? isn't this from a paper, and thus should be "easy" to establish when it was taken?
My guess is this was taken around the time of the days of our lives, perhaps a little later. somwhere early summer 1991
