"........that's what people thought witat bohemian Rhapsody " ??? /\
Don't think so, it went straight in at no.9 in the UK chart and no. 1 the second week, nothing but positive reaction everyone was blown away and the rest is history , as they say "The end of queen"??
You obviously weren't around at the time. It was sensational.

...would have been the singles I would love to see. I don't know about the b-sides but anything not included in the original albums would have been my preference.

My favourite Queen song! Dunno why they never released it here in the UK.
It was released in Poland and went straight to Number 1!

...I finally found One Year of Love on 7" in a second hand store on Saturday, I think it's strange that was a single.

i didn't really believe this at first but wikipedia confirms this...so ride the wild wind was a single in Poland? when exactly was it released and how? seven inch and/or cd single? can't seem to find a Discogs entry but i'm very interested!

The Polish chart at the time was based on radio plays so it wasn't a physical 'release'.

Not in '86. That song has all the mid-80s pop-cliches, so I think it was a good choice for a single. Could've done better in the charts with more promotion. Still a pretty bad song, though...

Queen is of the few bands I can think of that, to me, pretty much released the singles they should have.
Being from The States, the problem wasn't that they released the wrong singles, they just received little push from their label at the time.
Since Hollywood Records took over for Queen in the USA, Queen has been doing quite well, and that's because HR knows what the fuck they're doing.
