Plenty of their songs are extended metaphors/analogies, particularly early 70's Freddie and Brian songs. Particularly good ones are:
- Nevermore
- White Queen
- Bohemian Rhapsody (if you interpret Freddie's 'killing a man' as non-literal)
Simile
- 'You make me feel like a millionaire' - The Millionaire Waltz
I guess 'There's no reason for living with a broken heart' from It's a Hard Life could be seen as hyperbole. So could 'You make my life worthwhile with the slightest smile, or destroy me with a barely perceptible whisper' from Dreamer's Ball.
Personification in the line 'The lily of the valley doesn't know' - but then, the Lily of the Valley could just as easily be a sentient fantasy character.
Imagery is incredibly broad - all their songs conjure up imagery of some sort.
'Who Wants to Live Forever?' is the most obvious rhetorical question.

Hmm.....I guess the story of Good Company could be called sort of a sad irony. The narrator's father tells him "keep good company" but at the end, he has no company.
(Kind of a funny typo in the lyrics that I just looked up...."Marriage is an insinuation sure"? lol)

You´ll find there Brian´s explanation of it, that i´m sure can fit in one or more of the poetic techniques you have listed.
