He didn't ask for the links to the videos not to be shared, but for the actual videos not to be uploaded elsewhere (i.e. to just stay on those Facebook pages).

At least that's how I understand what he wrote: "Please do not share these videos. By all means tell people where they are but we want them to stay here not get shared all over the internet".

I think he just asked for some courtesy, but we all know there's no courtesy online.

PS: Brilliant videos!

The Cross did not exist until '87..........

and we have seen the studio work in progress listings of it from The Works sessions, so........ooooooops...[/QUOTE]

Presumably Love Kills and Let Me In Your Heart Again....and possibly There Must Be More To Life Than This?

In relation to the 'Man on Fire' quotes and others, I find a little piece of me dies when I realise I know more about the band's music than they do!! That's not a criticism of them as such as it was a long time ago and they have a lot of history, but just a slight frustration and disappointment when I think of what we may miss out on through ignorance or oversight.

In the facebook threads, the top dog of the group specifically requested these links not to be spread.

In terms of knowing what it was really like to be writing, arranging, rehearsing, demoing, recording, producing, mixing and selecting, adapting, rejecting or supplementing those songs, they know far more than we can ever begin to imagine. Same for stuff such as remembering the experience, their little arguments, etc.

But when it comes to remembering every guest musician on every song (especially a song as irrelevant as 'Man on the Prowl') or accurate timelines for every side project, they're as useless as any of us would be if we were asked about everything we did at work 30+ years ago.

What for plenty of people might be an unforgettable song or concert, for them might have been just one of many (and I do mean *many*).
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

The fact that Brian and Roger forget their songs, maybe means that the don't care so much about their past or what the record company release ( Roger didn't know if his best of was out). They want to do things straight to the people (live, musicals, solo collaborations etc).

That's why they have hired people like Greg, to do the search and give them a picture of what is on their vast vault.

From what I hear in the messages, I conclude that, it is very difficult to see unreleased demos or any kind of album with Freddie. Brain and Roger give their time to other priorities. Something that I respect. Queen had achieved so many things, their status is very well enstablished in Rock history.

The thing is: The artists are busy creating stuff, living their life, looking new business etc, while the fans are the ones trying to learn everything about the artists' work. IMO that's the reason why most of them forget lots of stuff about their past.
Queen: Roger Taylor, Mike Grose, Freddie Mercury, Brian May.

It happens a lot in football as well. Star players will definitely remember the huge games or moments (e.g. Tim Howard's magnificent goal, Banksy's save, Ibrahimovic's bicycle kick against England), but as for a random season game where they might have routinely scored a goal (or saved a penalty), they might've even forgotten, while for some fans it might have been a defining moment.
