I've seen this before but I can't remember the details. Freddie's old band?

Wreckage 1968?

wasn't this a school photograph sourced in a recent documentary where some never before seen video had come up from a friend of his? (run on sentence).... it's not a band, right? it's just a bunch of classmates...

Guessing its a band, notice the guitar in the background.

It's one of the photos from the Queen, On Camera, Off Guard book. By coincidence I was looking at the same photo yesterday in a shop. Very nice looking book and it was only £4.
"Queen is the only band in the world that can play so heavily that your nose bleeds, then offer a silk handkerchief to clean up with."

Great book indeed.

Taken by Paul Humberstone I think. Old friend and photographer of the band. He also took the now famous picture of Freddie in the same white top strumming the guitar in his flat. He's a friend of my uncle and I went down with him to the opening of the Freddie Mercury Photographic Exhibition back in 1996 where he had a fair few photos on display.

Really nice photos.

I wonder if the folk in the photos have a framed print in pride of place on their mantlepiece.
