I personally love the little shouts of "Breakthru!" in the choruses of Breakthru, especially the last chorus with the key change.

Two to add: 'The Hero' soundtrack version.

Rocks: 'NoOne But You'.

Admit it, that final chorus tugs your heart at every listen.

Yes, it does. Especially Roger's high harmony there. No falsetto, just his magnificent head voice. He had so many great moments as a backing vocalist that he'd deserve his own separate topic (so would Fred and Brian, actually).
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

That's a great idea Sebastian. Backing vocals and harmonies are different beasts and Queen's BV's were supreme.

I think my favourite in any Queen song might be at the climax in Nevermore, during and immediately after 'Sent me to the path of nevermore when you say you didn't love me anymore' - combined with the increased tempo, it gives me chills every time.

If only they released an a cappella version of that one.

Finally put mine together!

* Queen: 'Doing alright' (end)
* Queen II: 'Father to Son' (Joyful the sound, the word goes around..')).
* Sheer Heart Attack: 'Bring Back That Leroy Brown'
* A Night at the Opera: 'Death on Two Legs' ('Feel Good' parts).
* A Day at the Races: 'Somebody To Love' (before the solo), and 'Long Away' ('Come let the new child play')
* News of the World: 'Who Needs you' ('Where is that helping hand' line).
* Jazz: 'Dead on Time' ('Oh no matter' at end of chorus).
* The Game: 'Sail Away Sweet Sister' (middle-eight, 'way too soon, ahhh!' part).
* Flash Gordon: 'The Hero' (the alternating 'call and reply' 'He saved us' part).
* Hot Space: 'Under Pressure' ('This is our last dance,,, etc. at the end).
* The Works: 'it's A Hard Life' (backing under second half of guitar solo, that are more prominent on the 12" mix).
* A Kind of Magic: 'Who Wants to Live Forever' ('And we can have forever').
* The Miracle: 'Party'' (pretty much all of it!)
* Innuendo: 'The Show Must Go On' ('first line of second chorus').
* Made in Heaven: 'A Winter's Tale' ('And the dream of the child, is the hope of..'' line).

I always liked the harmonies on the night comes down, I wouldn't say theyre the best but its such a cool song that no one ever talks about and the harmonies have a cool atmosphere
