The SAME version of Stormtroopers In Stilletoes
At least the documentary version contains a little more footage and has the original audio.

For some reason youtube clips are being blocked.

Now I'm Here sounded a bit different, especially the harmonies. Did they use the track from the BBC Sessions or was it just a different mix only used for this performance?
Indeed - it's a whole different performance. There are three known studio versions of the song now.

the sound of the guitar seems very different from the one of the Red Special, I'd be curious to know if there's a reason why Brian used Les Paul and and not his guitar for recording this version in studio
on stage for a mimed or a live performance, Brian can use whatever he wants, but in studio for recording a version it seems an unusual choice for him to use Les Paul instead his guitar, are we sure that it's not a live performance?

Yup.
But there remains the mystery of the other TOTP performance of NIH. This is the Jan 30, 1975 performance. Apparently there's an entirely different performance on Jan 16.

Can I ask how you are so sure this is Jan 30th Performance and also how you know about the different performance on the 16th?
It's nice to get this sort of info but it really needs backing up with some evidence.

Your guess is as good as mine.
It was his spare guitar at the time. Maybe he was thinking it'd be cool to look like Jimmy Page? He was big into Zeppelin then. Queen saw them a couple months later at the LA Forum, and it was a pretty major life event for him.

There was a thread a year or two ago where all this stuff was discussed.
The Jan 16 presenter was Noel Edmonds, and on Jan 30 it was Tony Blackburn. Apparently there are photos or something. I can't remember exactly - but this one is pretty well nailed in.
Maybe someone else can be more precise?
