This is just too awesome.

At the beginning of the tune, the singer has the "oh god, this is the 2000th time we've played our big song, the sooner we get through this the sooner I can get home watch Geraldo" look on his face.

Five seconds after Brian May starts playing, his face begins to glow and he has the "fuck yeahhhhhh, I'm a rock star and this is the best my song has EVER sounded" look.

The musical equivalent to being bipolar.

The magic of music.

And of Brian May.

Love it when Brian puts a little aggression into his playing. Just wish he'd do it more.

Love it. Nice to see Roger looking like Roger again. I'm so used to the bearded Colonel Sanders look now that I almost forgot what was underneath it! ;)

One of the best songs ever. Worked quite alright with Brian and Roger, although they do seem a little rusty. The organ will always be the star in this song though.

Fun fact about the song: during one state in his mental illness, Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys was convinced he was hearing the music to his own funeral when it was playing.

Totally agreed with Oscar J. Interesting fun fact, by the way... But I'm glad to hear this song with Roger and Brian.

My favourite piece of useless trivia is that Whiter Shade of Pale and Bohemian Rhapsody were voted as songs of the quarter century in 1977 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's 25 anniversary of monarchy or whatever. I always figured that if you ever wanted to write an epic song mention the "fandango" dance and you'll have an all time legendary song as I can't think of a handful of songs (ZZ Top only other band I can think of) that use the word fandango.

Brian's playing is so amazing! I can hear it all day long ... and I've been doing it for a few years now. Can't get enough of it.

I think Brian's guitar playing injected extra emotion into Winter Shade of Pale and surprised the lead singer.

Queen never struck me as overly prodigious musicians ... but they have "style" and let the emotion show phenomenomly in their music.

The playing of John and Freddie in the recently shared Love of My Life instrumental is another fine example in my opinion.

Proof, yet again, that the Brian touch to anyone else's music adds that amazing magic that breathes life it never previously had.

Why is there always some fucker at a gig that's ALWAYS talking. They bloody plague me.

Here's another song from the same event:

Too much in the way of a leather trouser onstage going on for men of their age....!!
