Body Language is just an average pop song. It's harmless until you realize it's written by the same man who wrote stuff like Liar, The March of the Black Queen, Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Millionaire Waltz, We Are The Champions, Bicycle Race ...... you know, art.

What's wrong with 'Body Language' ? One of the sexiest songs from one side and one of the funniest from another... :) Great one.
One of my favorite tracks from Hot Space, and very underrated. Not sure why it gets the hate it does.
The song and video expresses the world and wishes of Freddie at that point of his life ,. and eventually brought HIV, AIDS and a death sentence.

That's why....

But, to be fair - so did Don't Stop Me Now, one of his finest tracks.

Freddie had a raging horn and was taking pipe long before Body Language, since the mid 70's I think. It's like saying Brian had space sickness because of '39.

friendly reminder that Queen was a band that always tried to do something different. Saying their older is stuff is why something 7 years after is bad isn't really fair. Sure it's dirty pop but it's good dirty pop. And saying they fell so low because of one song is also really unfair. Clearly they were doing fine in 1982, and they definitely went on to make more great music after.

Yeah like ....a few good tracks and the rest of "the works"
and a few good tracks and the rest of "a kind of magic"

Sorry and shitty a dip as body language may be, HOT SPACE Is actually almost their most cohesive .... strongest 1980's album

That's saying a LOT

Indeed... that's why Brian hated the song so much personally.

Also I can remember hearing the commentary on the Greatest Video Hits two from Roger which hated the idea of lots of steam, oiled men en that typical gay scene thing.

It's not even good dirty pop. It's banal and lazy and much worse than a lot of good pop from that era. They were not doing fine in 1982, they were severely struggling as a band and the album did not sell well.

They went back to making some solid albums with a few great songs, but not until far later. And their consistently brilliant early-mid 70's stuff remained unmatched.
