Hey everyone, I was just recently watching the Dutch Documentary from 2014, and I noticed during CLTCL that there seemed to be different angles! It turns out I wasn't seeing things and that there were new angles!
Here's the link to download the video to compare: https://mega.nz/#!6llmFb7Z!AwrLSfHuHV6MWDuw8kMIh2BOw_35UeX6m-qg1USxX_8
Or you can watch it here! https://youtu.be/nMGdPFB638M
There's also some interesting footage from Japan '79 that I've never seen, download it here: https://mega.nz/#!e90RkLSJ!zlJFW50iYjy27TQ6tx-BEuirSVYRvnUrijeKxI127Vs
Or again watch it here: https://youtu.be/UGpGX0BewXE

I can honestly feel my hopes going up for a Hammersmith '79 release somehow. I like the alternate angles from the Dutch documentary, as well the image quality. This is the most interesting new piece of Hammy '79 i've seen since the Spread Your Wings snippet Sikke shared.

Yes, there are more versions of CLTCL, just like there are some alternate versions of GDML and NIH - I at least noticed these 3, I never bothered with the other songs. I still hope they have the full master tapes and we'll get a full DVD in 2019, it's one of the best Queen concerts of the 70's

I've also found some new angles from Now I'm Here, but you may have already seen this.
Or download it here: https://mega.nz/#!XpNGWIrQ!1XpBXwCb65TLEmZJWKJ9kX-a2OTUkg5aNEnEKHhhI3s

Well done, Chin ! This indeed makes a Hammy 79 release seem hopeful, if there are numerous angles they can pick from, like the Rainbow material.

Multitrack or not, this gig just HAS to be officially released; we have the eager, hungry blues based hard rock band on The Rainbow, a more polished performance less the massive hits at Hammersmith 75, then the other end with the polished pop hits laden Magic tour shows.....this bridges the gap with a band completely at home in arena and theatres, Freddie in absolute peak vocal condition, and all the big 70s hits and some great album tracks thrown in.
I want it now!!!

Does anyone know the current score on the multitracks?
It baffles me why all the secrecy?

Very good post cmsdrums. I for one would really like all their tours to be covered with official releases.

With Rainbow, Montreal and Budapest currently released, yes, i agree Hammersmith '79 is a "must" to show how brilliant Queen was live.
This gig and Earl's Court are the pieces left to have an incredible good chronolgy of recorded live shows. (Rainbow '74 - Earl's Court '77 - Hammersmith '79 - Montreal '81 and Budapest '86)
In this particular case the amount of positive energy and stamina put that night at the Hammersmith still amaze me.

Can't wait for some unseen 78/79 tour concert videos.
For me, Freddie was at his absolute peak here. Afterwards, as they moved into playing more and more stadiums, his vocals became more shouty.

Because QP is somehow convinced that knowledge = less sales.
They think going "POW, HERE'S THIS NEW THING, OPEN UP YOUR WALLETS NOW, THANKS" is superior to having people talk for a while to ramp up excitement.
In reality there is probably very little difference, but if anything, the more people talk, the more people will notice, and the more sales they'll get.
