Hello Queenzoners, I found this page that contains two short interviews with Freddie and Brian on february 1979.
Maybe somebody can extract and clean the audio ;)

I just went into Developer Tools in Chrome, Network and then played the mp3, then in the Network list thing, I selected the .mp3 playing and then clicked open in new tab and then clicked on "Save As" :)
Just an FYI for the future :)
This also works with SOME videos on websites, not with YouTube or Flash videos.

Ah, so it's not that deeply embedded. You can also just right click wherever on the webpage and say "view page source" and find the mp3 in the code.
This is a great site for converting YouTube to mp3 - convert2mp3.net/en
And download the "Flash and Video Download" plugin for Firefox if you want to be able to save YouTube (and various other) videos with two mouse clicks.
There are countless ways of doing this stuff, I'm sure.

As for these interviews - they aren't short ! It's 35 minutes of new audio. Maybe 15-20 solid minutes without the translator talking.
Brian's begins with him saying how bad the first night was for them. Rare to see him being so frank back then.
But Freddie's is a trip. There are very few one on one interviews with Freddie, and this one is pretty revealing. It's interesting how optimistic he still is in 1979 for Queen's future. A huge contrast from later interviews (even by 82) when you can just hear how burnt out he is. In 1979 it's still very much a band, but within a few years it's clearly "him and the other guys", and you can feel that tension in pretty much any interview in the 82-86 period. But it still is all about the music here, and the sense of togetherness is real.
"Two or three years ago we went through all the ego problems and things where if we were going to split up we would've split up then because we were very full of ourselves. But I think that passed over, and we still feel the best thing we can offer at the moment is collectively. When there comes a time we're not going to be afraid to show it that we want to go solo, because we're old enough and we're not scared of... but at the moment we want to stick together because I think that's where the best music is for us."
^ one of the most genuine Freddie Mercury moments ever caught on tape.
And his comments about Mustapha and Arabs are ... yeah, someone else can express their opinion on this one. I'm just a spectator.
Someone with a lot of time on their hands should transcribe these - this is really good stuff.
