Will be sorely missed.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Just brutal. He committed suicide because of a degenerative nerve issue that rendered him unable to play.

In a world full of guitar heroes, he was the first keyboard hero of rock. I can only imagine how exciting it would've been to see him sticking knives into a Hammond organ in 1969.

RIP.

Brutal indeed.

Assisted suicide for those suffering from certain illnesses is the way forward. I'm not saying Emerson would have been a candidate for assisted suicide, I don't know enough about his condition or its severity, or how long he suffered from depression. But for those who feel they can't go on because of how limited their life has become due to an illness, then they should have the option to die in a peaceful manner, not through a gunshot to the head.

It's legal in some countries. I'm happy to say Canada is one of them - and it took a supreme court case to make it happen.

Mental illness is something that should be taken a lot more seriously than we think.

Robin Williams was also dealing with a lot more than just depression, and it was determined only after his autopsy that he also had Lewy body dementia. I only pray and hope that I never get to that point in my later years. It's very sad to see people who get to a point where mentally they barely function.
