The ohter day the user ChinWonder had a question regarding a bit of footage from Knebworth, i think the question was, where did it come from?
Well, seeing this and seeing that The knebworth footage is very limited and separated on different documentaries i decided to make a video with every single snippet of pro-shot footage available. I think i got it(almost) all covered.
I uploaded it to YT. The quality is very poor, but it is mainly to have an idea of all the material there is regarding this concert.
-The Freddie Mercury tribute concert DVD 2 (2002 release)
-The final Tour (from the 2011 Wembley DVD)
-A Magic year (from the 2012 hungarian rhapsody Blu Ray)
-Champions of the world Documentary
-Rare Live
-The Magic Years Vol. 3
-DoRo 1995 unreleased Freddie Mercury documentary

Thanks! This is cool. Didn't know that much existed!
it would be awesome if you said where the footage comes from, I know some comes from Rare Live and various other documentaries. :)

There's no way the backstage footage being shown on the big screen above the stage isn't from the same camera footage that it shown prior to that shot. It was always fairly obvious that the "big screen" footage existed, I think that confirms they do indeed have it in their archives.... I mean Brian even confirmed that, then backtracked at some point.

I just realized how clear some of the footages are, especially around the 4:30-5:00 timer where it shows Freddie. I'm amazed those even existed in such quality. They remind me of Hungarian Rhapsody a bit. Thanks a bunch for compiling these clips!

And they found the actual tape!! :-) :-) :-)
The Hammy'75 multi track was also believed to have been wiped.... And that one was found!
Hopefully the same will happen with the Hammy'79 multitrack !!!

You mean apart from the fact that the Doro Footage is shot from the Side and back and the Screen footage is shot from the front, evident from the placement of the man in the yellow shirt.
Let's iognor this and pretend it's identical.

Thank you very much...
This historic concert MUST be released one day. It doesn't matter it is from f..cking big screen or not. Release what you have in the archives and please stop lying about "forgotten recording" nonsense. Greg Brooks said one time they have big screen footage...

Yes, indeed.
I think all existing footage, even incomplete, accompanied with the full audio, will be a true gift for the fans

The backstage footage being shown on the big screen remains the most intriguing bit... Two camera crews and still the show wasn't filmed... Incredible!

Interesting, has anyone checked which song is being played from 4:40 - 4:55? (by comparing to the screen shot)

Bohemian Rhapsody & Hammer to Fall. It was filmed by the DoRo crew, but standing near a camera used in the big screen, as both angles are "near" identical.

The footage is identical to what was on the screen - it's the same source.
I've seen a version where it's mixed into the screen footage, and it's a seamless transition.
The footage exists. It's just a matter of how much they have.

But It isn't.
It's really not from the screen feed. There are two bits, including the "Thank you you've been a wonderful audience" part that are really close, but they are not.
If you get the two videos side by side, in the screen footage, roger is almost fully aligned with freddy when he bows his head, in the Pro shot he's JUST at his cape.
Then when john is inline with freddie in the Screen footage Roger has disapeared off screen, While you can still see roger in the pro footage, There is a point where all three overlap in the pro footage because the angle isn't the same.
You are thinking of pittrek's video, the reasonit matches is becuase only freddie is on screen at the switch, a few frames later and it wouldn't match up.
