Why does Freddies notebook have Brian's lyrics in it?
The article mentions that the notepad was bought in a shop on Goldhawk Road in London.
Townhouse Studios were on Goldhawk Road (where some Magic and Miracle tracks were recorded).

Interesting bits. I can hardly make the pencil on the first page (bottom) out.

It's interesting to see more conceptualization going on. Wish I'D have found that damn thing. Geez. From the articles perspective it seems like it was simply "found" ...

The article says:

They clearly haven't seen Roger's lyric book that we get snippets from occasionally, which covers a couple of decades or more! (and actually has rough drafts and original lyrics in the author's hand, as opposed to Freddie's which contains a lot of straight copies from lyrics written by the rest of the band, which he has just replicated for ease to sing from).
Must say that I'm impressed with the touching tribute to Greg Brooks' and QPL's proof reading where they say it covers the period 1988 - 1980!!

Lots of interesting working versions of lyrics here - it's a shame all the alternate lines on the bottom left are so hard to read.
Doesnt say where they got the notebook from, wonder was it a studio employee that nicked it.
If I had the money (a low estimate in my opinion) I would pay it, even if it was a book of Freddie writing other people's lyrics, its a fantastic thing to have.
