This Picture from July 1976( well the Picture itself is more recent) shows that STL has a running time of 3 Minutes and 15 Seconds at that point. The released Version has a running time about 4 Minutes and 56 Seconds.
I do expect that the trader / collector community is in possession of this particular gem right ?
Or it`s me who`s having blinders on ?

Agreed, but the Photo Thread is in danger to get overlooked. Maybe people expecting to see "cute" Freddie there.

It's possible that some sections (e.g. intro and outro, or even the famous crescendo) were recorded separately and then spliced together as one piece.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Yes a possible scenario. On the other hand, I think there were leaked bits of STL with sligfhtly different Lyrics / Choir. I didn`t have them on hands right now. Maybe someone is willing to share a Link.

Yes it was, and that tape proves it. Whatever Fred told to the audience can be attributed to either typical rock star talk to make the public feel special and/or exact words ('we haven't quite recorded it yet' could be interpreted, in this case, as 'we haven't still finished it').

Thanks Chief !

I don`t like that bit too much I have to say. Glad they`ve made the right decision.

As for YTMBA obviously there´s no running time mentioned at that point.

Never heard that before! Sound cool :D

The repeating 'anybody's don't do much for me, but the way the harmonies diverge on the 'find me's is really cool.

I suspect, though will never ever be able to prove it, that they took that section out because it resembled the 'You Take My Breath Away' outro.

The embryonic version starts out as the published track 'Can anybody... find me ee ee ee, somebody toooooolove' then they have spliced in 'No, No, No, No, No, No, No' from Bohemian Rhapsody then the 'Thank You' from See What A Fool I've Been'.

It's very short and to the point.
