Dog With a Bone - copyright claim

Correct me if I'm wrong, but unreleased Queen songs usually don't receive copyright claims on YouTube, do they? 'Cause that just happened to me with Dog With a Bone, 5 years after I uploaded this video.

This gave me high hopes for an official release of the song in a near future, and I reaaaally hope it doesn't appear in another compilation of already released songs. Perhaps a proper album with unreleased songs is coming?

But if someone already had copyright claims over a unreleased song, please tell me (and smash my hopes over a wall D: ).

I looked to see if all copies of this song were blocked on youtube, but several of them are still readily available. Not sure why you got singled out!

It wasn't blocked, it's just a copyright warning that shows the song belongs to them and I can't monetize the video. But it's strange that it took 5 years for this to happen, which made me believe they're planning to do something with the song.

Link to video?
Believe Music is usually searching for videos containing materials owned by bands they represent, and manually claiming them, they claimed all of my Queen related videos many years after I stopped uploading stuff to that channel. Their claims are only stealing your monetization, they're nothing serious

My 'Dog With a Bone' video has been alive for 4,5 years as of now.

As a matter of fact, this song was licensed by Queen Productions Ltd. to the Official International Queen Fan Club and released in a fan club only DVD.

Not true. Believe has blocked several Queen videos before - again, on behalf of Queen. So it's not stealing either.

Yes, I know, they blocked many of my Queen videos too. I should re-phrase it - "THESE claims are only,,,"

How much did you make from 5 years of YouTubing one unreleased Queen song?

vini, what an unethical act.

Monetize a Queen demo, given that that's their work and only they should monetize it? You're worst than the bootleggers.
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

... and how many views were needed to get that paltry amount of money from YouTube?

What? No, it wasn't monetized, because it was uploaded in a random channel I have that only has 4 videos. To be honest, I didn't even remembered this channel existed until this copyright notice appeared. But just to make it clear, these can appear even if the video isn't monetized, which is my case. I didn't earn any money from it.
