I'd imagine that his decision to jump off of that board was because he simply couldn't bear to be backing and profiting from that ridiculous Adam Lambert collaboration. He could probably live with Paul Rodgers in the frame as they were, essentially, still creating but taking in a reality TV karaoke singer probably would have been the last straw.
