Thanks Kurgan! The taper/filmer of this show actually talked about it on DIME recently. I asked him if he would share the master tape (or 1st gen copy). He said he would try and look into it some day.

Why's it crap?
OK, what do you guys think about this version? Originally I thought it's a lower generation copy but now that I compare the 2 versions it maybe has only some sort of color correction / desaturation?
Perhaps upload a sample file?

I guess the only way to really tell if it's better or worse is to work on the other vob file and then compare the two side by side. Is there any tape damage or cuts in your version?
I haven't watched the DVD for years, but from what I remember I had to use some still photographs to fill some of the gaps.
It looks and sounds pretty good pittrek, can you upload it please?
