This review of Queen I is positive and encouraging. This is the 2nd contemporary review I've found from alternative or underground press that treats Queen positively. I wonder if there is a pattern developing which shows something new about the band's early history. Derided by mainstream music mags but popular perhaps among the audiences for alternative/underground press e.g. uni students, hippies, -- the cool crowd.

Nice find !

Amazing that the people not being paid to write actually listened to what they were reviewing...

Not only that, the reviewer hears an operatic quality in Fred's voice that I can't hear in any of the songs on the album but maybe he is more perceptive than I am. Fred loved opera, as we know, and, of course, later releases like Lap of the Gods, BoRhap and Barcelona proved that he had that quality in his voice..
