Roger Taylor Planet Rock

Planet Rock is broadcasting an interview with RT tonight at 7pm (UK time) a short quote in the add for it says "if we do anything in the future I'd like it to be new"

Given that BM has already said that they (Q+AL) will tour again next year, is Roger talking about the show or set setlist, playing unusual venues or even countries or is a new album in the pipeline.

Hopefully someone can cap that interview because I'll be out :(

I am using DAR.FM to record it right now. I hope it works. I lost the first few seconds of the DJ opening the show, but nothing substantial, I guess. If it does work, I can PM anybody willing to have it as I will not be able to post a direct link here because official songs are being broadcast during the interview. I would like to edit it and to make it available for you wonderful lot out there, but I'm affraid I would not have the time to do so, I am sorry.

So, to sum it up, I will soon let you know if it worked and then I can happilly send it to anybody willing to have it via PM.

The quote from Roger was in the context of new music rather than live shows.

The suggestion was that he hoped Brian and he could write one or two that would be in keeping with the legacy and record somethig new.

No firm committment to that though - just what he hoped could happen.

Roger is a man of his word, so you can bet your ass a brand spanking new Greatest Hits album will hit the stores next year.

Hi, some of you have PMs. I hope it works. If possible, please ask here, and not in a PM to me as I do not check PMs regularly and I could miss it, which I would really feel bad about.

As for what Roger said I understood he was asked about archive material and replied that he'd rather release something new, then referring to it being quite possible for him to record with Brian and if they came up with a song or two that they found fitted, they could release it. Please correct me if you understood otherwise, as I am not a native speaker.

Thank you! You heard Rog right. He implied that Page was a better curator and he wasn't interested in a big archival release and if they were going to do anything he'd rather they do something new...him and brian could write a song or two.

This is not news. This was a question he was asked and he replied how he's always replied. He'd like to do something new and doesn't see any reason to.

Brian seems to be the one holding back on it.
