Some of the rare items are great, mainly the foreign vinyl, box sets, promos, autographed pieces etc...

Some of the stuff is however 'rare' for a reason and simply had no place on a serious collectors' site.

Shit, now where can I go when I want to watch a video about a Queen tea-pot accompanied by a lame piano-cover?
It was me who played the piano. I can accept that you don't like my playing (you have all the right to), but I won't tolerate disrespectful comments. Neither towards me or my personal friend Gary, who has spent *hundreds* of hours of hard work either gathering memorabilia, filming, editing or uploading the actual videos. All of this using his personal time, expecting nothing in return but the satisfaction of contributing with some useful insight into obscure items to offer to the Queen collectors community. Gary has been throught heavy stuff during the past year or so. I won't make any futher comments on that but I consider it worth being mentioned because that makes his contributions and time even more valuable.

As for myself and like Gary, I did put a lot of my personal time (which is scarce, specially when you become a father of two kids) and heart into those "lame piano covers", solely to contribute with the best I could, nothing more, nothing less. My piano skills may not be great (hey, here I have some shocking news for you, Mr. I-know-it-all: I am not a pro). Unlike you, I am one of those who think that it's the intention what it counts over skills in some occasions.

By the way, how have you contributed to the Queen fans community at all, apart from writting stupid comments like a teenanger troll with a lot of free time on its hands?

I certainly hope that we can meet face to face one day and you make such comments in person directly to me and not thru a computer like cowards like you are used to. I bet you will run to your cave like a scared puppy (my apologies to you, scared puppies for underrating you, in case that you are reading). I hope one day I can see how brave you really are in real person.

PS: F*ck you. ;-)
GB: Hello Mariano. Greg B here. Please DO NOT take personally the nasty comments of a very small minority of mean-spirited (and probably musically talentless) people on this site. Your piano playing is very lovely and I compliment you on it. I wish I could play half as well as you.

I too have had bad comments here and I too have asked the persons responsible to be brave enough to say to the same things to me in person, to my face, but of course they never did. And they won't with you either. It's easy to insult you while hiding behind fake identities.

The 7,000 Subscribers to Rare Share: Queen Collectables appreciated very much your piano contribution and the generous time you gave. Do not let silly people get you down.

Best wishes

Hi there Greg,

Thanks a lot for your support. I really appreciate your comments and all I have left to say is that it's been a genuine pleasure to record each one of those versions, which have been covered with all the love and respect that I feel for Queen's music, which would take one hundred lives to explain how much it means to me. I bet most of us on this forum feel the same way. I have felt very honoured to contribute even with a very very very tiny part to this project, and having seen my name credited on Queen's official site and the band, Roger and Freddie's official Facebook pages, was something that I would have never imagined even in my dreams.

What it makes me sick is that while some people does its best, only for passion and expecting *nothing* in return, a scumbag comes out of the blue and all that it has to bring to the table is bad intended criticism, just for the pleasure of annoying others.

I have made my case and no matter what this smartass responds, I won't spend a single more second on this. My time is for my kids and other things that are worth it. Life is too short, and life is too beautiful to waste it on crappy people.

Thanks again Greg for your support. Wise words you've said.

The youtube channel and the fb group were great, information, photos, collections and a lot of good things about Queen.
I cant understand how people are...I think only in a word about them..."ENVY".

You need thicker skin guys. I can't comment on the piano playing because the concept behind the channel wasn't something which particularly interested me - but it was obviously a joke. Now i'm aware it may have hurt your feelings because you put in hours of effort in playing and on one hand i can empathise with that - but i don't think he was directing it at you. I don't think he knew you were a member. If you're on the internet and you release something, no matter what it is you're gonna get some negative comments - best thing is not to rise to it or own it in some way.

Now go and play a piano cover of Rain Must Fall to make yourself feel better ;)

So, the thread in short: Everyone has lost.

Obviously I was taking the piss on the bizarre range of items displayed in the videos. A Queen beach-chair and a tea-pots, COME ON. The music has nothing to do with it and it was a bit of a cheap shot from my side, obviously tongue in cheek.

By far the most interesting thing about this is the apparent falling out of Gary & Greg. I wonder what that's all about?

Hope Gary and Greg are OK, even if I'm not a friend of 'em. I just want to know why Gary dissapeared, and why Greg stopped commenting/replying. Thanks.
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

It's a real shame that the RareShare YouTube channel is gone. Anybody could find something interesting on it... and if you disliked a particular item all you had to do is skip it. So, from my point of view, it was all gain. Also the piano covers were well suited as they didn't interfere with the visual content and the description of the items on display - and, being a piano player myself, I enjoyed most of them.

I can imagine the hard work behind such a channel, and it saddens me it's now all lost. I hope all the featured material would be made available again sometime in the future. My kudos to Gary, Greg and Mariano for a job well done!

I think it was predictable. Collectors are not as many as you can think. Moreover, not everyone can shoot a video about his collection and put on public display
I've got the power to love to live I can't say it ain't right

GB: Hello Beta215 and anyone else who's interested.

I hope that Beta 214 is ok, by the way, and 217 and 228 !

Gary 'disappearing' from Queenzone - if he still has - and me ceasing commenting here for a while, are not linked.

I have no idea what he is up to, but I continue to work on various things with the Queen Team. As most Queenzoners know, I invariably come to QZ for a while, in little blocks of time (a week, two weeks, or a month), and then I leave, and return again a few months later to stir a few things up a bit, before running off again - usually to the relief of most of you and myself. I posted or replied more so in the past, than recently.

We are hard at work on the next Queen product and in the meantime, a brilliant exhibition of general music memorabilia - The British Music Exhibition - which was formerly situated at the O2 in London, in 2008-2011 from memory, has just opened in Liverpool, at the old Cunard building. Go view it; it's an unusual and informative day out, and the perfect excuse to visit Liverpool, if you've never done so before.

Again, we have loaned some nice Queen goodies for you to see, including a BM guitar, RT drums, Freddie's Japanese kimono, and some handwritten song lyrics.

I'm heading down there next Tuesday, March 14, with my colleague Pete, and we're meeting with Jim Jenkins - whom most of you know well... I guess. You can ask this man anything about Queen and he'll know the answer - but please buy him a beer first.

You are welcome to join us, if you fancy seeing some really fabulous British music nostalgia, including of course the mighty and unstoppable QUEEN.

All is well, everything moves relentlessly onwards, and we live in exciting Queen times.

Thanks
