Hello all! I'm a huge queen fan and long time follower of this Site, you guys do a great job. I recently played a gig and we had our usual last minute snafus. Got me thinking that of all the Queen stories I've heard, I haven't heard any that take place right before a gift of theirs. After all those shows they played surely some kind of madness ensued before the curtain came up. Any thoughts?

I have no knowledge of those. probably all blowjob stories except for the rows/fights
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"

We don't talk about New Zealand '85....

Just kidding, There was the one gig in NZ that, according to Bob:
"Their intro music (an arrangement of Machines, off The Works album) was already playing and a few people in the backstage area were frantically helping Freddie get into his tights. "You stupid cunts, you've put my tights on back to front!" cried Freddie part way through the proceedings. With the clock ticking, the laces of his boots were untied and his boots came off and the tights were properly put on. Freddie made it to the stage with literally seconds to spare."

Oh and Freddie got shitfaced that night.

Read up on this. I think it's the most serious thing before/after a show that we know of :)

Cool story.... but where and from whom and how did this story get out?

It clearly says, 'In the blu-ray extras of the 2011 "Days Of Our Lives" documentary...'
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Ah right, but It 'clearly doesn't say' on the blu-ray extras that there was a fight where virtually everything in the dressing room was destroyed and that Freddie insisted that it would be his last tour....so where did that bit of the story come from? Or is it putting 2 & 2 together and coming up with a lovely story?
Just asking........

If you read the first paragraph, then it actually does clarify that :)

Read it, still doesn't tell me whom and where the story came from!
