Fact checkers have found that his overall quantity of statements during his campaign amounted to about 25% truth. Countless tweets of his that were pure bullshit got hundreds of thousands of retweets. He literally created facts as he pleased, and could change them from day to day as he pleased.
Facts are meaningless to him and the majority of his base. He's a sociopath who built his road to the white house by removing facts from politics and replacing them with feelings and fear. He knows exactly what he's doing - he's not only blurring the lines between truth and myth, but by accusing others of doing the very act he has mastered, plenty of (stupid) people won't consider the possibility that he himself does it as well.
