After messaging a YouTube uploader a few years back, he very kindly sent me via snail mail a DVD-R of a VHS tape he recorded off TV himself back in 1985. It's five songs from the first night in Rio, three of which weren't seen on the official VHS release.

The quality is not quite as good as the official release, and goes to show how bad TV quality was in Brazil in the 80s. But it's far better than the uncut video of the first night that is circulating.

Kind of bizarre how the small part missing from the beginning of Radio Ga Ga pops up after Somebody To Love. So the whole song is there, just scattered around.

Whatever. He has to sleep at night knowing he's a scumbag.

But in the digital age, I'm not entirely convinced these guys make a lot of sales.

So let's just keep the music coming, and encouraging the downloads - the more people who download, the quicker we put these guys out of business.
