For those wondering what the setlist will look like, Brian and Roger said in a Rolling Stone article published today:
Brian: "The real fans of course know our stuff. The general public knows the hits, so you've got to cater for that. But we can chuck in a few things that people really don't expect. We'll do quite a bit more of that this time around."
Roger: "Just to keep our own interest up, we'll be doing stuff we either haven't done before or haven't done for a long time."
Promising news. What rarely heard tracks do you want them to play?
I'll believe it when I see it, and if they do throw some rarities in I bet they only last a couple of gigs.
Having said that I'd love to see Roger and Brian take lead vox on Tenement Funster and Sail Away Sweet Sister.
For Adam I'd go for Dancer (yes, really!), Headlong, If You Can't Beat Them, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy.

I would like the songs that fit Adam. freddie could sing all. Save me, WWTLF did fit, imo.
Adam can sing. He sings high. Theatrical. And is not afraid being himself,.
GOFLB is my pic.
But for the live experience SYW And Its Late.

That does sound...promising...although quite honestly I'll still be in a bit I'll believe it when I see it...They often make a bit outlandish statements pre tour ("rolling set list", etc.)
BUT if that is true:
CAUTION - RAMBLING SPECULATION FOLLOWS based on NOTW alone!
WWRY/WATC - already in there leaving...
Sheer Heart Attack / All Dead All Dead / Spread Your Wings / Fight From The Inside / Get Down Make Love / Sleeping On The Sidewalk / Who Needs You / It's Late / My Melancholy Blues
IMO:
Out of that list it is MOST likely we'd get: Sheer Heart Attack/Spread Your WIngs/Get Down Make Love
All 3 were performed heavily during the late 70s and SHA would stand to be this tours SCC / SYW is a strong ballad choice for Adam who does ballads well / GDML is a slinky funky song which Adam likes to do ala Dragon Attack
It's LEAST likely we'd get: All Dead All Dead / Who Needs You
Both not being very logical concert performers....and a deep John Deacon cut seems unlikely.
Leaving a decent possibility of: Sleeping On the Sidewalk / It's Late
SOTW would be in Brian's solo time I would think which is why I give it a decent possibility. I doubt Adam does it. / It's Late - Maybe I'm optimistic but maybe even they have heard fans clamoring for it for years....it wasn't done as often as some of the others and the band could view it in the "never done or for a long time category"
with two Dark Horses of: Fight From The Inside / My Melancholy Blues
Dark Horses because maybe Roger decides to change up from his Days of Our LIves/A Kind Of Magic bit and throws this one in insteasd - the only reason it's not in the LEAST likely pool / MMB - well it's such a "Freddie" song which would be my only hangup but for some reason it seems like a longshot possibility but better than some of the others
Yes I understand NOTW isn't the only draw but for arguments sake I'm combining the deep cuts with the mention of NOTW much as they were talking about how the Live at the Rainbow release influenced the 2014 tour...

"There Must Be More to Life Than This" with a Freddie/Adam duet (AL taking Michael Jackson's parts) could work. Adam's certainly got the vocal chops and I think it would double as another nice tribute to Freddie during the show. I may be in the minority, but I'd prefer "Long Away" over "'39" during Brian's short set.
I heard that they rehearsed "Drowse" before the 2014 New Years' special, but I think the closest we'll get to Roger singing lead on one of his own songs is TATDOOL or a rehash of "I'm in Love with My Car" from the QPR days. If Brian is keen on highlighting the NOTW material for the 40th anniversary, I think that "Spread Your Wings", "Sheer Heart Attack" or "Get Down, Make Love" would be the most likely tracks to enter the setlist; as soxtalon said the first is somewhat popular among casual fans, and the latter two were played so frequently between '78 and '82 that I'm sure Brian and Roger would want to hear it done in a live setting again.

I'd quite like to hear stuff from the albums that never toured: Miracle and Innuendo - especially I'm going slightly mad!

Given the official roll-out of WWRY ("fast" version) on the On Air release, I wonder if they will revive that as a show-opener?

I'd love to hear some of their upbeat or faster rockers - You and I, Was It All Worth It, Hitman, Headlong, Breakthru, Innuendo, etc.
The A New Life Is Born intro would be a great entrance IMO, although I don't think AL singing would suit that part, and at the same time I think using the studio version would be in kinda bad taste.

The March of the Black Queen
You Take My Breath Away
Princes Of The Universe
Innuendo
Very unlikely, of course, but one can dream. Even a greatest hits setlist with these four songs will be epic.
