Jealousy - what else?

Thinking about songs they might choose to perform on the new tour (and I hope they pack in a LOT), something drew my attention to Jealousy... I really think that could work beautifully with Adam's voice and be used to complement some of the more familiar mid-show selections. And then I started wondering about You And I.... Thoughts? What other dark horse candidates do you all think might play well?

MAYBE "Dreamers Ball"..... but nothing else "different" from JAZZ will likely be played.

Can't imagine Shalom Lambert singing Mustapha... John's song IYCBT was never very good except for Brian's solos.

more likely the focus will be on NOTW.

Roger can't drum IT'S LATE and I'm not sure Brian would keep up with its original tempo. .. but that's something that would always be welcome. Even an acoustic bit.

Can't picture Adam doing it justice.

I'm probably not going. Finances and work instability. .. but I'm on the fenceon this.

Possibilities:

who needs you (*dedicated to John; ironically)
Fight from the Inside (drum "duel")
My melancholy blues *(this could work for Adam - despite it requiring an additional piano player)
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"

And maybe it's time to honour Innuendo, song and album ; Headlong would be a shoe-in

If they try Innuendo, that would be biggest failure...

Brian has hinted at the possible inclusion of songs from News Of The World, as it is forty years old this year, He has also mentioned a new and emmersive show. Does this hint at a new setlist covering the bands entire album history, or an emmersive production stage production, which in professional terms usually means heavy use of video screens.

I think they are at the point where a total rethink of the setlist is a must.

This could be quite a spectacular show, if we're lucky.

They still have to play most of the hits, thousands of people will be going for the first or second time and they want to hear Bo Rhap, Don't Stop Me. Another one bites, Under pressure, WWRY WATC, TYMD, GaGa, Killer Queen,CLTCL, Guitar solo...Magic... so you start not having too many lesser known tracks, but I live in hope, I think they will do maybe a medley of NOTW stuff and one maybe two others

Really looking forward to this one they seem very up about it, even Brian!

If they play a 25 song set and played 18 hits, that would be a lot more than most people play and would leave 7 possible album tracks.

When Adam Lambert started singing with them they introduced a lot of material that PR never performed but still stuck, by in large, to the greatest hits formula, they could easily play The miracle, Innuendo, and Made In Heaven singles from those albums, drop some of the things they've played since Lamberts first tour with them and include some lesser known album material. It would entertain the casual fans and keep the older ones happy who want to hear something different.

My bet would be Innuendo. Adam would be great on that.

Unfortunately, and as much as I'd love to see this song be performed live, that is true. Unless Rufus comes out to give him a hand, but I'm not sure how great he would sound.
Now that I think of it, it would be awesome if Dave Grohl or Taylor Hawkins could pop as a special guest even for one night and perform 'It's Late' on drums. No doubt in my mind that either one of them would do a great job.

As far as which tracks I'd like to hear Adam sing, I'd also go with some of the ones that we rarely or never heard Freddie (and in some cases, no one) perform live.

- Long Away
- All Dead
- It's Late
- Jealousy
- Sail Away Sweet Sister
- Man on the Prowl
- Scandal
- Headlong
- You Don't Fool Me
- In My Defence
